Advertising your book
How we can advertise for you.
DragonCub sells books and other downloads
There are two types of advertising offered by DragonCub:

First, we can optimise for search engines, the main page which gives the details of your book.

Second, we can undertake pay-per-click management in Google Adwords for you.

Both of these services are carried out by arrangement with SEOFirst.net (a sister company of DragonCub), who are SEO and PPC experts.

You can find details of the SEO work on the site of SEOF here. Basic SEO of your page is presently undertaken free of charge.

The key skill in PPC management

In case you have not previously managed your own PPC campaigns, there is one fundamental point we would like to explain: search engine optimisation of a web page is intended to make the page "friendly" to search engine "robot" software so that your page is picked up, stored in Google's database and returned as high as possible in Google searches.

PPC is different. Because you pay for every click, you do not want people to click for the sake of clicking. What you do want is for "targeted" users to click. That is to say, people who really want to read your book. Because Google allows only a small number of descriptive words, that means you have to choose those words very carefully. They have to "put off" people who are unlikely to buy your book while encouraging those who might buy. In fact, I would go as far as to say that it is more important to put off unlikely buyers than to attract targeted buyers. The goal is to achieve for you the highest sales return on your advertising investment.

The pay-per-click proposal

•
Pay-per-click management costs money in payments made to Google. It would not normally be possible for you to advertise using PPC on some else's website. It is possible with us because we provide it as a service.
•
Our basic service consists in SEOF using their skills and experience to find and use the best keywords for a short PPC campaign.
•
We have negotiated very favourable terms for you with SEOF (a sister company of DC) and we make no profit ourselves whatever. Our benefit is in selling more of your books or other products. SEOF charges only 20% of the cost. The rest goes to Google, from whom neither we nor SEOF obtain any other benefit.
•
SEOF manage the “campaign” at least weekly, starting cautiously to preserve your money, then gradually trying alternative words and phrases so as to improve the value of the service to you.
•
You can also see the results of your campaign through your control panel.
•
If you are happy with the success of the campaign, you will probably wish to continue it for a longer period. You can do that through a contract direct with DragonCub.com.

We use pay per click advertising on Google Adwords and elsewhere.  Our operators in this are expert and are supported by sophisticated software which gives the return on advertising cost of every book sold by pay per click.

We guarantee that at least half your spend goes on payments.  The rest contributes to our operational cost.  Managing a pay per click programme is a labour intensive business.

If for any reason, your “spend is not spent by the month end, we continue until it is exhausted. What we want is the best sales result.
